Does the project help “promote” women to politics?
Project 5050 does not “promote” women, does not run women, and does not train women. We believe that there are enough talented women who can serve as council members, and just as men do not learn to be politicians, there is no need for such training for women.
Is the project political?
Project 5050 is definitely political, but not partisan. We will recommend supporting any list that has a Ritzertz - according to the values and worldview of the voters.
Where does the funding come from?
In December 2022, the project launched with a crowdfunding campaign that raised more than half a million shekels to establish the municipal project team. The campaign succeeded thanks to 3,364 supporters from all over the country, 40% of whom were male supporters. We succeeded with a modest budget to establish a national system, create language and awareness, and bring about political and social changes. In December 2023, the project will go out to recruit partners according to a monthly subscription so that we can reach 5050 in all decision-making tables. Coffee and pastry per month, 25 NIS, and we can continue to do 5050. The subscription will be terminated on the day that 50% of the Knesset members are women. Join us.
